CLINTON ANNOUNCES NEW ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISOR July 23, 1992 Little Rock, Ark -- Governor Bill Clinton announced today that Brett Hulsey will become the Clinton-Gore campaign's new environmental policy advisor. "Brett brings a great deal of experience and concern for the many global problems confronting the world's environment and I am proud to have him aboard our campaign for change," said Clinton. Hulsey leaves his job as the Sierra Club's Great Lakes Program Director where he managed coastal protection, sediment cleanup, and clean air issues in five mid-western states. Prior to joining the Sierra Club, Hulsey worked for the Oklahoma Wildlife Federation, the Alaska Coalition, and was a science teacher at the Cross Academy. He graduated from Middlebury College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the political economy and received his Masters degree in natural science from the University of Oklahoma in 1989. "Over the last year, President Bush has gutted wetlands protection, weakened the Clean Air Act, and failed to provide any global leadership at the Rio Summit. This administration's record is dismal," said Clinton. "I welcome the opportunity to work with Senator Gore and Brett Hulsey in providing America with a real Environmental President." -30-30-30-
