So irrittating! The Newsweek article aside, more on that later, why do journalists keep repeating the ludicrous Rove meme:
"Everybody loves Howard: Dean has inspired his fellow Dems and Republicans think he'd be easiest man to beat."
First, the monolithic "Republicans" don't exist -- and they dumb ones or the liars could possibly think that Dean is the easiest man to beat, as evidenced by the Weekly Standard piece. But fine, set the bar low. That makes it easire for us to beat Bush, as the lower you set our bar, the higher Bushes becomes.

Here's a letter I sent to Newsweek re the 8/11 piece:
It's odd that Democratic would-be power brokers worry that McCainiacs, Perotistas and Independents might hand Dean a win in New Hampshire. Aren't these some of the very folks in the middle who the Demos need in November 2004? Doesn't this suggest Dean can be an attractive candidate to disaffected Republicans & Independents? DLC/DNC people ought to be thrilled that Dean is attracting these independent-minded centrists. Instead, they are making fun of them as insignificant, problematic. This just illustrates the irrelevance of the DNC and DLC in the upcoming elections. It is part of what Dean is talking about when he says we want to take back our country. In the Dean campaign, the people are reclaiming the political process for themselves, and the operatives don't like it. Janet Stromberg | Email | Homepage | 08.04.03 - 2:56 pm | #
