when the show sequed to his interview, before dean even said anything, i was struck by the look on his face. sitting there with his blue shirt, no tie, sleeves rolled up, sun shining on his face, smiling...i've never seen him look better.

scheduling an interview on labor day was genius. this could have been the first time people got a chance to see him. he didn't look angry like his critics keep nailing with. he looked happy, like a winner.

I didn't see the interview, but I know the "happy Howard" look you mean. Kind of reminds me of a happy, healthy dog. If Clinton was the Big Dog, I think of Dean as the scrappy Little Dog. And we all know it isn't the size of the dog in the fight...

(Rats, now I have the image of Scrappy Doo in my head...)
