Dean's statement clarifies the situation in the Californian recall effort and should put a stop to the nation's giggling jeers. His last paragraph deserves to go down in history as "Dean's Message to the Californians," one of the longlived statements of American ideals. Yeah, but Lehane from the Davis camp is a Kerry man. This was, simply put, the right thing to do. Scott Moore | Email | Homepage | 09.06.03 - 7:19 pm | #

As a loyal Democrat and a Dean supporter, and CA resident:
Dean apparently doesn't know much about CA politics. Nobody likes Davis, and there are lots of good people running. There is nothing undemocratic about this. I'm angered that the Republican's nondemocartic methods are being used as an attack againist everything they do, it should be saved for the things that really are undemocratic. Dear Mr. Dean ,you will never be the man George Bush is.You run your mouth off about how George Bush isn't running this country the way it should be ,but you haven't been there to know.Remember that the terrorist was planning 911 on Clintons clock.Dear George enherited Bills failures.Bill had more important things on his mind beside keeping America safe.Having Oral sex.Yes it is considered sex even though its oral.If you are so pro human rights, how can you be against ending a brutal dictatership, and we all know what horrible things he did to his own people. You will say anything to try and get elected.Just like slick Willy. You will have to lie to have a chance to beat PRESIDENT BUSH. Alex - I live in CA and could not disagree with you more. Lots of good candidates? Are you a Green?
See my posts above for much more, no need to repeat it here. I think that Dean understands the dynamics of this race, and of CA at this time, quite well indeed. I don't like Davis -- but Dean did ABSOLUTELY the right thing. Scott Moore | Email | Homepage | 09.07.03 - 6:37 pm | #

First of all I have a comment for that Rush wannabee--Bush booster. I'm just curious how informed he is about his hero in regards to Iraq.
What was that admonishment by Deep Throat in "All the presidents Men"? Oh yea...'follow the money'. Got Carlyle Group, Mr. Bush lover? Do you know what I mean by that?
Just curious if you knew who the investors of that group were and in what they invest. Just a brief synopsis...the group buys small defense contractors and flips them to larger contractors like Boeing, Lockheed, and TRW. The crown jewel of their co. is United Defense which for years built the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, and the Crusader which is a 42 ton howitzer that acts like a tank...which in todays Military is too heavy and slow, so said by military experts. But remarkably Rummy and Bush 2 have appropriated money for it. Oh..did I mention that one of the investors is former Bush 1 Def. Sec. Frank Carlucci who just happened to be a College wrestling team-mate of Rummy. Did I also neglect to mention the other investors..George H.W. Bush, ex U.k. Pm John Major, ex pres. of the Phillipines Fidel Ramos, Prince Alwaleed Aziz Alsaud of Saudi Arabia, ...Bakr bin Laden.....Hmmm Strange don't you think? The Bush family, the Saudi royal family and the bin Laden family in a position to make millions if not billions of $ from the actions of their immediate family members. And that's just the tip of the ice berg. Hello Bush lover...your reaction? Before you answer---do your homework.
Now, back to the assault on Democracy by the GOP. Dr. Dean left out two very important facts. One John Ashcroft lost his election in the Senate to a dead man (his opponent died in a plane crash). By the way our esteemed Attorney General is being accused of campaign finance violations in that race. And two (coincidence?) the plane crash of Sen. Paul Wellstone.
