Dean was the only presidential candidate to have a table at the Portland Peacequake here in Oregon. Kucinchites were no where to be seen. The other booths were the usual lefty/peacenicky suspects and lots of international advocacy groups. Great food, great music, fair number of Dean shirts (I used to think mine was dorky, but I'm getting used to it. I still think they need to rock a plain navy blue one with just the logo on front and web address on back across the shoulders.)

I worked for 2 hours at the Adams/Morgan festival, and the response from people there was fantastic. The most wonderful thing for me was meeting the other volunteers, one of whom was a 16 year old who drove down from Pennslyvania to volunteer. I don't know of any other campaign that has this kind of youth appeal, but Dean is FINALLY realizing that other people besides the elderly vote in elections.
