Its amazing you're so thrilled that a President will arbitrarily begin to "breakup" media conglomerate, especially when those likely to be first on the chopping block are those that produce political opinions contrary to his own. Hmmm... PB | Email | Homepage | 12.03.03 - 2:22 pm | #

Dean said he would change the rules of media ownership which would AFFECT ALL VOICES EQUALLY.
These rules would revert back to the old rules of less than 10 years ago when we still had a useful, functioning 4th estate of some type or another.
This issue is a winner through and through. Yet another example of why I support Dean and I'm not even a Democrat. pavingmoratorium | Email | Homepage | 12.03.03 - 2:46 pm | #

in addition, the WORST legislation clinton ever signed was the telecommunications act. that led to a lot of consolidation within the IT field and is one more thing i'd like to see reversed. so to be fair, a lot of this consolidation came to be under the clinton administration. it started under reagan's deregulation and continued through both bush 1 and clinton. all three presidents did the american public a great disservice by supporting widespread deregulation or "capitalism without rules". anna | Email | Homepage | 12.03.03 - 4:26 pm | #
