I've got to get to Texas again someday. My car broke down in Tyler, TX back in '94 on my move from Mandeville, LA to Boulder, CO and it was one of the strangest experiences of our lives (Sandra and I). Quite an eye-opening experience despite having just left Louisiana. Dry county? Hello? They do exist but there's little shacks in the woods where you can wet your whistle as long as you pray to Jesus.
