First?
Well, anyway these announcements are as exciting as the bats!

Go Dean Go!

When do we start writing letters to these states?

Any idea when we can get addreses to start writing letters to the people in the states of the Feb. 3 primaries?

joe, i am pretty sure that there's a letter writing campaign going for south carolina which was organised by the grassroots. where in the world is JeninSC? she was the one organising it if i remember correctly. i'll see if i can find the info...

I'm not sure that it will be necessary to write letters to the Feb. 3rd states if we can win IA and win NH big. We need to concentrate on delivering a decisive victory in IA. More letters and door knockers to IA!!!!

You're right Nathan, about more letters and door knockers. I've been doing my fair share to both IA and NH, and also think I can start sending to other states. While we have momentum, we can never sit back and expect a quick victory.

It looks like your basic "pedal to the metal" strategy to me.[Hmmmmm...I haven't heard anything about "peaking too soon" lately...]

I think this also gives us a preview of what the Dean Administration will be like. He will assert his authority, set the agenda, and drive it. I expect the most assertive Presidency in some time; there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth about the "imperial presidency." Well, I think HD can be trusted with that. I see him as a modern Julius Caesar rather than an Augustus. GWB I see as an Agustus wannabe.

Joe, great mentality. So far, there is no such thing as starting to early. Effective use of "word of mouth" exponentially increases over time.

I have to say that this campaign keeps evolving every day and I'm always humbled when I look on how far we've gone so far.

Damn. Dean is trying to end the race on February 3rd. He will force Clark, Edwards, Lieberman, and Gephardt to spend down their funds NOW, or have Dean rise in the polls everywhere. Just ask John Kerry what happens if Dean gets a lead in an essential state - you get marginalized in the press and your fundraising (presumably) dries up. It's extremely bold, and it just might work. If Dean goes 9 for 9 (a real possibility from the polls), the primary race will essentially be over on February 4th and Dean can concentrate on Bush.

My kids can write in Spanish! Get me some New Mexico and Arizona addresses, quick...

I love that Trippi just knows how to pummel his opponent. He refuses to give them any openings. Nothing. Nada. It's so much fun to watch!

All I thought of was, WHAT ABOUT WASHINGTON?!! We're on Feb 7 (along with ?michigan?), and me and a bunch of DeanFreaks have been bustin our butts getting people to canvass.
I GUESS they think WA is Dean Country, and tho there's a lot of Kucinich people in Seattle, there are MANY more Dean people. We're still running hard, though, since it just isn't the Dean Way to rest. At all. Ever.

But yeah, if it's all over Feb 3, We'll be icing on the cake. Fine with me!

I just hope we don't run outta dough being so aggressive so early for so long. Sure doesn't look like it with the fundraising this week alone!
