There are certain Democrats that know their time of power is coming to an end and their scared.

That sums it up.

Where were they when this country needed them the most?

I have a couple of decent posts on my blog (it's a multi-user blog) about this topic. The Democratic candidates really can't criticize Bush for his evil tactics if they do the same thing and then just claim they're "prepping" the eventual winner for dealing with Bush.

It's WHALLOPIN' TIME!!!

Aziz, as usual, shows great wisdom. Forget Edwards and Clark.

Poonawalla for VP. (Letterman will have a lot more fun just saying Poonawalla than Edwards or Clark, after all.)

heh, I'll just settle for Blogger in Chief. Or Chief Recipient of a Plum Political Assignment with No Actual Responsibilities.

Dean cannot win without the Clintons' help.

Well the Clintons's better do some soul searching and fall in line!!!

That's a kind of strange comment, how do you know I won't disagree with you in two weeks?

I expect Clark to get attacked viciously and I expect him to deal with the attacks well. It's one thing to return the DLC's grenade, it's another to start launching salvos of your own against everyone who doesn't comment on Blog for America. I have criticized Lieberman for running against the Left and I have criticized Dean and his supporters for running against the moderates, you better believe I'll hit Clark as well if he tries to reach the nomination by stepping over some part of our Party.

Um, it may be "your party", but it's clearly not mine or "ours". There's an old saying: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

People can try to hide behind the lable of "Democrat" all they want--however, "when the tide comes in, we'll see whose swiming naked".

If you want to be hustled by the romantisism that is pumped about the "Noble" Democratic Party--that's your problem. That little scam isn't going to fool everyone--at least it doesn't fool ME!!!

It sometimes makes me physically sick to even look at some of the Democrats in the US Congress now. I can't believe they can even sleep at night--much less run for President, as as some of them are.

They want "loyalty"--well what about them? Where was their "loyalty" and and "courage" when it was most needed of them--a time in history they needed to STAND UP that they have never faced in their careers before and never will again.

All I have to say is "Adios"!!!

Ezra - What I meant was that in two weeks, when the rest of te candidates realize that Clark is going to wipe the floor with them for teh title of Anti Dean, they are going to turn all their ammo on him, not Dean.

Then I think you're going to find that party unity and broadening the message will need to take a back seat for a while.. until after New Hampshire at least.

(of course I may be entirely wrong, which is part of the fun of blogging - crashing and burning spectacularly in public)

it's easy for Clark supporters such as Ezra and Josh Marshall to call for unity. Their candidate hasn't been forced to run the gauntlet yet
