Christopher, can you tell me a little more about Terry Bean and Cheryl Perrin. What is their background, where are they from, what parts of the Oregon Democratic Party maintain their emphasis and expertice, and in your opinion, what do they bring to the Oregon Dean 2004 effort? Thanks in advance. Richard Batson | Email | Homepage | 04.06.03 - 12:25 am | #

I am not Chrisyopher but as an experience Oregon politico I can tell you a little about them. Terry Bean is a very active, long time gay rights political activist and fundraiser (big player with HRC). It would be unfair to pigeonhole him just in that area though as he has been pretty active on the national scene with the DNC. Terry can raise some serious dough and contribute personally as well. He angered some party loyalists in 2002 by supporting Gordon Smith (R) over Bill Bradbury (D) in the Senate race but that was mainly because HRC endorsed Smith and Terry is THE face of HRC in Oregon. Terry also con tributed to the Bradbury campaign personally IIRC.
Cheryl Perrin is a long time lobbyist and general politico. She has excellent contacts in the business community and can bring to the table more moderate interests from the Portland Area. Jeremy | Email | Homepage | 04.09.03 - 3:38 pm | #
