I noticed the description above includes a passage as follows: "...Awaiting his introduction by MacKenzie, Dean sat stiffly between two construction workers on an upholstered banquette".

Would someone please give the doctor a massage so he'll relax??? People love his message, but they want to love the messenger too - he's got to relax a bit. *sigh* Sorry, I know this shouldn't be an issue, but reality tells us it will be...I'm sure we'll overcome the "stiffness" issue like we've overcome the Kerry issue.

Could his stiffness have something to do with his back injury? (The one that gave him a 1-Y deferrment in the 60s).

Hey, good point! It'd be interesting to find out from the campaign if that IS the reason for the stiffness, or if he's just a tightly-wound guy.

My understanding - from one of these Dean blogs, I forget which - is that Dean suffers from a fused vertabrae to this day.

Yes, I read that too. Also that he has to wear a back brace most, if not all, of the time.

Well, gee, if that's true can't it somehow get it out? I mean, if it became general knowledge, everyone (i.e., the media) would be able to stop with the "stiff" stuff. Maybe a health report or some such?

Great message on unionizing over seas. I've been preaching this for years. The problem with free trade isn't that it allows companies to move over seas where they can polute and under pay employees. The problem is that we don't have unions to fight for worker's rights in those countries.

Once we unionize the world, where will they go to exploit workers?

I was glad to have this information because I have wanted to hear Dean speak about world trade issues. Does anyone out there have more comprehensive information about Dean's policies in this area?

Or information re his position on immigration?

I agree. i am really glad that Dean has said this. If Dean gets the nomination, the Green's really won't have any reason to be bitter.

Neither will we for that matter!
