Just a reminder: Does everyone have a bumper sticker on their car yet? Let's not forget that Dean, despite all the blog momentum, still lacks name recognition with the average voter. It follows that "the average voter" seeing Dean's name on your bumper during the morning commute will help alleviate this problem. They cost less than $3 bucks at http://www.cafeshops.com/dean2004. A highly recommended, visible way to show your support at this early stage... I've had one on my truck for less than a week and have already had half a dozen people ask me about Dean.

And no, I'm not associated in any way with cafeshops.

Yow, that's a lot more visibility for a bumper stickler than I would have guessed. Thanks for the recommendation.

I though Dean was spot on with the comments about the other canidates - but I really winced when I heard a newscreature refer to it as "bashing" the other candidates. I guess the difference between "bashing" and "telling it like it is" is too fine a point for these people.

Just ordered 10 stickers and a Dean t-shirt and plan to distribute at the Dean2004 meetup!

I'll probably end up getting a bumper sticker soon (my Bradley sticker didn't come off until last summer), but I really don't like the design. It's second-rate, which suggests a second-rate candidate. Any graphic designers out there who can do better?

There's a mention of Dean at the bottom of this article from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: http://www.jsonline.com/news/nat/jan03/113403.asp

Here's my try at a bumper sticker: http://gohlke.net/dean_bumper_sticker.gif

What do you think?

Jason: That's a pretty sweet bumper sticker.

Its not bad, bt i like the existing one better - its reminiscent of the oficial campaign website.

agreed that bumper stickers are a great tool to promote dean - another thing we can do is promote the deanblog itself. I'm thinking about changing my sig on email I send out to the following:

Our next President - Howard Dean in 2004

hey, here are some more i found at yahoo:

The new ones with the American flag look much better than the current ones. I ordered 4 of the new ones, and when they arrive I'll place one next to my current one. I like the idea of adding Dean in 2004 to e-mail signature blocks, so I'll start that tonight.

Very nice Bumbersticker, I picked up five of them.

Does anyone know of anyplace selling Dean bumperstickers that have the Dean campaign URL on them? Pushing more people to his campaign site would be good.

Paul, we're discussing adding a url to the material. I agree - we need to not only promote him, but also direct people to where they can find more information.

I would hope that "...for President" would be added to any future campaign media. As far as most people know, unfortunately, the Howard Dean named on my bumper sticker may well be some anonymous state assemblyman who ran in 1996. Just the novelty of seeing a brand new presidential bumper sticker may serve as a reminder and get them thinking about the 2004 election.

Joe, that's a great suggestion. We're working up some new merch right now and will be debuting it shortly. Rest assured it'll have the campaign website addy and "for President" on them. =)
