Interesting idea! I don't think it will happen, though, both because the network won't dare, and because the show has it's own alternative reality to uphold. |
Better to start getting on talk shows. Crossfire, hannity/colmes, meet the press etc. Still too many "Dean who?" comments lately. |
While I'd personally love to see it and part of me thinks any name recognition is better than none, I think this would harm his chances of being taken seriously more than help them. (I worry about that with Sheen's endorsement as well.) |

I agree with Mike. This sounds good, but it could easily backfire with Dean being tagged the candidate of Hollywood liberals. |
I agree with judson. I think it's a total farce that everytime I hear a talk show host on a major network rattle off Democratic contender names, they don't even get to Dean. It's like they're purposefully waiting for the celebrity guest on the show to talk about how they think Howard Dean is the one. The guests by and large don't do it. |
I think it wouldn't work outright. Perhaps a reference could be made to "Ambassador Howard Dean of Canada" or "Howard Dean of the Wisconsin AFL-CIO" or something, just to get his name in the show. However, I do not think Dean (or his name) should appear in the context of his campaign on the show. The show has its own little reality (Equatorial Kunduu and Qumar being two countries that it made up) and to bring Dean in would be seen (correctly) as just a publicity stunt. |
