i consider myself pretty informed, but it wasn't until the salon article came out that i knew much about dean - i was a "dean who?". after digging around today and coming across more info on him, i can firmly say i'm a pro-dean and want to see him in the white house. once his message gets out, i think we'll see his numbers go up.

Great article and I truly admire his frankness. Tapper is a particularly tough interviewer, but even with some of his hardest balls he fails to keep Dean from hitting a home run time after time. This article plus the Rob Reiner endorsement is the best news I've had all week.

I think the Salon profile of Dean makes him come off more like a normal politican than the "regular guy" he appears in the NY Metro piece.

I think I'm going to have to object to this characterization of Salon's premium status as nonsense. They are an entirely online news magazine that actually pays reporters (not just columnists and op-ed writers like Slate or a number of lefty sites). They have larger overhead costs and they do great work. Anyone who objects to spending $30 a year for some of the best writing on politics in this country needs to realize what they get for that money and be thankful it's available.

Salon.com has broken so many stories that liberals should cherish that everyone who is reading this site or any other liberal page and has 30 bucks should subscribe today.
