He cuts off the question with a blunt, factual assertion. Sometimes the assertion is an outright lie; sometimes it's on the edge. But in either case the intent is to deceive--to define a legitimate question as based on false premises and, therefore, illegitimate.

"Do you have any evidence to the contrary?"

I tried to think of a reply to this, I'm not sure why I even put up this link, but let me try again. The nice thing about a weblog (mine anyway) is that if I don't like what it says, I'll just change it!

I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to have to encounter this utter bullshit on a near-daily basis. There is a subtle satisfaction in knowing that Ari is the result of access that the 2000 give-Bush-a break-and-bash-Gore DC press corps puckered up for. Little wonder that Ari's three-monkey logic stumps them so often.... little wonder they rolled like a puppy when george the second cancelled being accountable with regular press conferences... and little wonder... wait. It's not a wonder at all, it's no surprise at all, we all know, ask MWO, still right where they found them!

And so, I wait, we wait, until the appointed time for the DC press corps to come alive in objective criticism and questioning to Bush (the real reason for their opposition will be so that they don't have to endure 4 more years of Ari). This Press will turn on Bush at the opportune time-- late in the 2004 campaign. OK, July 30th it begins, by August 30th, they'll all know, it's in the stars.
