07/06/2002 Archived Entry: "Linder's quote"

"This is not a district of Clinton haters, a significant part of this district has discovered Bill Clinton is no longer president. We need to just get this behind us and move on." John Linder, on Barr.

What gave me a laugh from this quote was the slipped admission by Linder that there are voters other than the significant part, in this heavy-heavy Republican district, who are still Clinton-fixated.

Been in that District...however it is even worse in the Georgia ninth...which is represented by Nathan Deal, with whom I had the privilege to ride with in the Delta Airlines back in February (He was complaining about a "foreign" Tex Mex restaurant opening in Dillard...providing competition to the authentic Northern Georgia cuisine)...Yes, I am talking about Dillard, Dawsonville, Gainesville and Cumming...not just a bunch of Clinton haters..."low life, trash" (as General Sherman once said). I would be polite and say that they are a bunch of ignorant rednecks....they hate the blacks and especially the Asians down there...more than even Bill Clinton (who is at least white). They would still vote for Clinton over J.C. Watts. However, the Hispanics are slowly taking over the place and running these rednecks out of town.

"In March, Barr filed a $30 million defamation suit against Clinton, Democratic analyst James Carville and Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt, contending they harmed his reputation and caused him emotional distress during the Clinton impeachment."

Now..wait a minute! This guy went after Clinton, even engaged in name calling...and campaigned to ban frivolous lawsuits. Now, this is the most frivolous lawsuit I have ever seen. Then, I am not surprised by the white southern GOP who want to control this country....Barr opposes frivolous lawsuit and touts family values...but has been married three times...yeah...a good family man!...and now himself is behind a frivolous lawsuit. Then we have Tim "the Philandering" Hutchinson from Arkansas...wanted to impeach Clinton, touted family values and then cheats on his wife. Of course...I nearly forgot...Bush wants to jail all corporate crooks...then now we find out that he at the least had some ethics violations...As I have written earlier..Bush had gone to Arkansas and preached fidelity to welfare mothers with Hutchinson on his side. Perhaps Bush and the GOP would do themselves a lot of good by advising Tim Hutchinson to keep his pants zipped up. Perhaps if the white Southern GOP led by example instead of preaching the welfare mothers would follow!
