9:30: Bowling has pulled ahead firmly now with 40% reporting, leads by 9% over Greene. Alexander is going to be declared the winner soon, likewise with 40% reporting, is leading Bryant by 12%. Bryant (red) is winning in the western part of the state, but wasn't able to make inroads against Alexander (yellow) east of Nashville:


9:20: The only close race I've found of the ones we are following is the 4th (R) between Greene and Bowling. I picked the latter, and she's ahead of Greene, 30.4 to 27.8 with just over 20% reported. Here's a link that updates every five minutes.

8:50: Phil Bredesen claims democratic primary victory for governor.

8:35: Jim Cooper claims victory in the democratic fifth congressional primary.

8:30: Gayle Raye concedes to Jim Cooper in the democratic race for the fifth congressional seat.

And in Illinois, I predict that the GOP gets its clock cleaned in November as the state goes the way of California and New Jersey. If TN was a little bit up north, GOP would get its clock cleaned there as well. But, many southerners would rather commit financial suicide rather than vote for Democrats.
