For pundits who thought Rivers had a better than good shot at winning the 15th CD Democratic Primary, that was some sort of bruising that occurred from the Dingell over Rivers massacre. Here's a lesson: don't underestimate the crossover vote. In Michigan, voters who were Republican are allowed to vote in the Democratic Primary, as long as they don't split their ticket. A strong dose of this probably occurred, given Rivers strong anti-gun positions. Think Georgia in a couple of weeks, the 4th Congressional District. Majette: The better of two lessers is the sort of article that has been circulating, and given that the primary is open, Republicans will be choosing the Democratic nominee, right alongside Democrats.

Fascinating article on whether white Texans would vote for a black man for the US Senate!

The one thing that made me decide that Dingell would win was when I saw in an article a comment about how many of the teachers and students in Ann Arbor are away on summer vacation and not available to vote.

Rhonda Cook is as sloppy as the other Cook..Charlie. I have already found contradiction in her article:
"Georgia politics, from talk radio to cyberspace, is buzzing with talk of GOP-leaning 4th District voters "crossing over" in the Aug. 20 primary to vote for McKinney's Democratic challenger, Denise Majette."
"Though there are three candidates running in the GOP's 4th District primary, Kent realizes a Republican is unlikely to win the heavily Democratic district."
The first paragraph says that it is a GOP leaning district and the second says it is a heavily Democratic district. Seems like political writers have been loosing their bearings since GW became President.
