SC's Sanders have a shot?
This is nice reading, the SC State's endorsement of Sanders over Graham reads a lot like those new yorker puff pieces that have come out so often on Sanders. Brad Wharton even goes to the effort to make it clear why Graham would be a fine senator, but Sanders might be a great one:
It's certainly within play for Sanders to pull this off. If you examine the recent SUSA poll numbers, Sanders needs to only get the votes that Hodges has already voting Democratic, to win. Easier said than done, as the state is clearly trending Republican. What Sanders would have to do to buck this trend is win the gender gap, like Hodges appears to be doing in the the Governors race; and have a 30% turnout of African-Americans in South Carolina that votes for him by about a 9:1 ratio.
